What You’ll Do
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both growing existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Grow and manage an assigned sales territory
- Develop new business through strategic prospecting and relationship building
- Build long-term partnerships with manufacturers and purchasing teams
- Identify customer challenges and recommend value-driven packaging solutions
- Conduct virtual and in-person sales presentations
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM
- Plan and execute territory development strategies
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, customer service, and operations teams
- Attend industry trade shows and customer meetings
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
Travel
This position includes regular travel throughout your assigned territory.
Typical travel includes:
- Customer visits
- Industry trade shows
- Overnight travel as needed
- Approximately 3–4 travel days every other week
Candidates should be comfortable traveling by both automobile and air.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys developing new business while providing consultative solutions for customers.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Minimum 4 years of outside sales experience
- Minimum 2 years of college education or equivalent professional experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent prospecting and business development abilities
- Hunter mentality with a consultative selling approach
- Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities independently
- Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
- Epicor experience is helpful but not required
- Adobe Acrobat Pro is a plus
